Superfinishing attachments especially for your lathe
Superfinishing, often referred to as short-stroke honing, is a high-precision machining process that is specifically designed to significantly improve the quality of workpiece surfaces. This process is particularly important for bearing surfaces, where special cross grinding and a high contact ratio are essential to ensure low friction and a long component service life.
Supfina's Superfinishing attachments, including the latest Supfina Fact model, allow existing CNC, grinding or turning machines to be upgraded to produce Superfinishing surfaces. The attachments are available in different versions, including stone, belt and hybrid variants. The surface qualities achieved are significantly higher than with normal turning and therefore meet the highest surface quality requirements. Furthermore, a separate external or in-house grinding process can be dispensed with. The Supfina attachments are suitable for a wide range of applications and represent a cost-effective investment.
The Supfina Fact is a particular innovation. It is a compact tape finishing attachment specially developed for mounting on turret lathes.
The Supfina Fact is controlled via a central drive that is connected to the turret of the lathe. It does not require any additional connections for media, as flushing takes place directly via the turret. The device can be adapted to various turret systems and offers the option of oscillation shut-off for twist-free machining thanks to a special gearbox. The Supfina Fact can also be used to process hard materials and coatings with diamond superfinishing tape.
