Additive manufacturing | Additive manufacturing also known as 3D printing refers to manufacturing processes in which three-dimensional workpieces are produced by applying material in multiple layers. The process is based on a digital model that can be used and created by a 3D printer. Unlike many traditional processes this process does not remove any part of a raw material to create the product. Instead numerous thin layers are applied on top of each other to form the shape of the desired part. |
Automation | The goal of technological automation is to carry out processes with minimal human assistance. This is achieved by using machines that follow programs to control processes and perform work. |
Automation solution | Automation solutions are concepts for the automation of a plant. Automated machines can function mainly without the involvement of humans. The control of processes can also be transferred to the machine which for example uses sensors to check the stock of raw materials or to change the tools for different workpieces. |
