Supfina at the GrindTec
As one of the global leaders in surface finishing technologies, the Supfina team will advise interested parties individually on all questions relating to double surface grinding at this year's Grindtec in Leipzig in Hall 5, Booth E04.
At Grindtec 2023, the Wolfach-based machine manufacturer Supfina will concentrate on double-sided grinding. Therefore, our focus will be on the consultation on all challenges around the process and the newly developed SDC system.
Up to 40% savings
The latest generation of the Planet V machine series takes double-sided grinding, also known as Double Disk Grinding, to a new level. Among the patented tilt navigation and visualization of the grinding process, the focus is on SDC (Smart Dressing Cycle) with up to 40% cost savings compared to conventional systems.
The highly rigid machine bed enables the grinding of steel, sintered metal, non-ferrous metal, plastics, ceramics and glass. Depending on tool configuration and material, two powerful motors achieve stock removal of over 1mm at cycle times well below one second. The workpiece is machined to an average tolerance of +/- 0.003mm in just one pass.
Flexible Processes
The Supfina Planet V machine series offers other process options in addition to classic through-feed grinding. For example, the Pendulum grinding process provides uniform thickness by oscillating in the grinding gap and can prevent a further fine-grinding process in some applications. Another process option is multiple-pass grinding, where the components are passed through the grinding gap multiple times. This process helps you to realize the stock removal without additional handling in case of high stock removal.
Solutions from a single source
As a solution provider, Supfina advises prospects and customers on their individual challenges, validates parameters and uses its own studies to develop the appropriate machining solution. In addition, a later integration into existing production structures, sustainable automation and IT infrastructure is taken into account.
In particular, the automation of loading and unloading through robot-assisted process automation is currently a strong demand f.e. due to the lack of skilled workers. "Our customers are increasingly demanding sophisticated systems for their production processes," explains Dominik Maier, Business Unit Manager, "whether complex automation or upstream and downstream processing, we deliver the solution."
A comprehensive, modern range of services is available, from maintenance to production and process support to individual training.
