From there, the necessary machining is determined, the amount of material to be removed is calculated and the roll is handed over to the production department. Now the actual superfinishing process follows. In addition to grinding and superfinishing of the rolls functional surface, Supfina can plate and re-grind worn bearing surfaces and rebuild bearing cartridge assemblies.
Depending on the use of the roll, e.g. in the paper industry, a polishing process may still be necessary. Finally, the surface quality is measured and recorded. In this way, you receive a perfect roll for maximum process reliability.
